INFORMATION NETWORK:
The Economic Information
Network was established in 1997 by participants in the Center’s
first economic journalism workshop in Cairo. The Network links journalists
globally with various sources of economic data, news, and trends,
including the World Bank, think tanks, and other economic networks.
The Network provides an opportunity for journalists to write better
documented national, regional, and international stories by accessing
data and other information from international data bases. It also
affords journalists an opportunity to share economic information
and cooperation on regional and global issues.
