MISSION
AND GOALS
.....
The Atlanta Review of Journalism History is refereed annual publication of the Journalism History Society of Georgia State University. The primary mission of the Review is to showcase the best media research of Georgia State University students. The Review also accepts occasional submissions from other media scholars at universities associated with the American Journalism Historians Association.
The publication is made possible through the concerted efforts of the authors, editors, readers and our supporters. We thank first those authors who do the primary work of research and writing. As students, they forge their essays in classrooms but carry them far beyond, to share their research at competitive regional and national conferences.
Credit for the overall production itself goes to the Review’s staff, led by Stacy Schmitt, the managing editor. Stacy coordinates the process from beginning to end: tracking manuscripts, arranging for Editorial Board readers, monitoring the progress of authors making revisions, and overseeing the editing of the page proofs.
Stacy is assisted by Katie Hawkins, the Associate Editor, whose skill with software sends the Review camera-ready to the printer.
