Matt Rowles brings more than fifteen years experience in engineering, consulting, and installation design of professional/broadcast audio and video systems to his position in the department’s Digital Arts Entertainment Laboratory. Within DAEL, Matt is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the Blue Screen Studio, Audience Response Theatre, Audio Post-Production suite, and a range of related laboratories.
Rowles received his B.A. in film (music minor) at Georgia State University, and has earned a range of electronics certifications (including InfoComm Certification Levels 1, 2, and 3 – Design School, multiple Sony trainings, and certification as a designer for Avid and Crestron systems). He has converted this training into project management and multimedia installation work for a range of clients including Georgia Tech, Georgia Perimeter College, the Cartoon Network, the Weather Channel, Turner Studios, UPS, WPBA, Coca-Cola, and the municipalities of Atlanta, Athens, and Smyrna.
Before joining the university, Rowles worked with the Comprehensive Technical Group and at the Coca-Cola Company.
