Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, Technical Director and Production Manager
Todd Studebaker has taught and coordinated theatre activities at GSU since 1996, after teaching and production work at the University of Minnesota, Chattanooga State Technical Community College and the University of Northern Iowa. Studebaker received a B.A. with honors in theatre at Lenoir-Rhyne College, and an M.F.A. in theatre design and technology at the University of Minnesota in 1991.
At Georgia State University, Studebaker teaches a wide range of technical theatre and production courses, including Stage Management, Lighting, Theatre Workshop, and Technical Theatre. Studebaker coordinates the Design & Production track of the new B.I.S. program in theatre. In the 2006-2007 academic year, Studebaker oversaw a major renovation of the University Theatre in Alumni Hall. He annually coordinates production and technical theatre work for annual Players productions. Beyond those shows, Studebaker has played an instrumental leadership role in all of the recent productions run in the University Theatre, and with the GSU Players, whose work he organizes.
