Requirements for Journalism Students:

In order to enroll in upper level Journalism courses as a Journalism major, there are a few Pre-Journalism classes and requirements to be met. Once the student has earned an average of 2.5 or better in the JOUR-prefixed Area F classes , he or she can enroll in upper level journalism classes even if his or her institutional GPA falls below the 2.5 threshold.
