Why the Department of Communication?

The disciplines of communication are concerned with the processes and effects of human communication in a variety of contexts ranging from interpersonal communication through the mass media. The Department of Communication provides courses of study that develop knowledge and skills in managing face-to-face communication, knowledge about the nature and social functions of the mass media, and the skills necessary for communication careers.

Nobody likes to wait, but unfortunately this is your next step. You will eventually be notified regarding your acceptance, but you can always check your application’s status online.

One of the first things you should do once your accepted is sign up for the university’s new student orientation program. While you’re at orientation, make that you connect with your advisor to discuss your career goals and major.
